Vincent Rioux programs computers to create sound art events and interactive experiences, mainly using libre software operating systems and languages. He holds a PhD in Musical Acoustics obtained in Sweden (Chalmers University) and a Master in Computer Music Technology from Ircam (Paris). He gradually moved toward visual and performing arts and in parallel developed a personal approach to live-coding, text-code-based music improvisations and sound installations. He currently holds a position at Beaux-Arts de Paris as head of their digital media department.
