Thomas van der Valk is Privacy Policy Manager EMEA at Facebook. Before joining Facebook he worked in the European Parliament as an MEP-advisor on civil liberties, justice and home affairs, including on files such as GDPR, counter terrorism and transparency. He is Founder of the new online platform Shaping Europe, which aims to contribute to a constructive debate on European affairs.
