Olga Gkotsopoulou works as a researcher at the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) Research Group at the Faculty of Law and Criminology in the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She holds a Degree in Law, a LL.M. in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and an Advanced LL.M. on Intellectual Property and ICT Law. Olga previously worked and interned for the LIBE Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels, the Free Software Foundation Europe in Berlin, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority in Athens, the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform of the World Health Organisation in Geneva and the Greek Council for Refugees in Athens. In her PhD dissertation, she focuses on data protection and privacy through the lenses of gender, sex life and sexual orientation.
