Giovanna is a Global Privacy Policy Manager of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP’s Centre for Information Policy Leadership (CIPL), a preeminent global privacy and security policy think tank located in Washington D.C., London and Brussels. Giovanna leads CIPL’s project on effective regulation and implementation of the Brazilian data protection law (LGPD). She also supports CIPL’s global projects (such as Accountability 2.0) and regional work (Europe and Latam). Prior to joining CIPL, Giovanna worked for four years as a data privacy consultant at Promontory Financial Group, an IBM company. Giovanna is a Brazilian qualified lawyer and holds a Masters in Law (LL.M) with distinction at Queen Mary University of London.
