François Pellegrini is a professor in informatics at the University of Bordeaux, where he also teaches digital technologies and personal data law. he is a researcher at LaBRI and Inria Bordeaux Sud-Ouest, on graph partitioning and high performance computing. Since 2014, he is a commissionner, and now a vice-president, at the French data protection authority (CNIL), where he is in charge of the sectors of e-commerce, cybersecurity, sovereign files and European coordination. He also co-chairs the NAOS cluster, a non-profit that promotes entrepreneurship projects based on free/libre/open-source business models in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
