Claudia Diaz is currently an associate professor at the Computer Security and Industrial Cryptography (COSIC) research group of the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT) at the KU Leuven, where she leads the Privacy Technologies subgroup. She holds a Master degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo (Spain) and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the KU Leuven (Belgium). Her research investigates the design and analysis of Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) with a specific focus on anonymous communication systems and traffic analysis techniques that exploit metadata to uncover private information.
