Mr. Homan oversees enforcement of Canada’s federal public and private sector privacy laws. His key investigations include: Facebook/Cambridge Analytica (2019), Equifax (2018), and Ashley Madison (2016). With a rich background in International enforcement, he co-led international investigations: Global Privacy Award winning Ashley Madison joint-investigation with Australia & US FTC; and international joint-investigation in field of Privacy (against Whatsapp) with the Dutch. Leader in digital economy, he co-chairs a GPA WG examining intersection of privacy, consumer-protection and competition, seeking to advance collaboration across these regulatory spheres.
